10.31 So that last ball six by Dwarsuis to end the first innings winds up being the exact margin of victory. Plenty of drama at the end of both innings, but the home side comes out on top.

Sean Abbott is named player of the match: "The wicket suited our style of bowling. Lots of cutters. Credit to AJ [Tye]. Personally as a fast bowler, I like to see the skills on show. There's been a lot of footy here so there's some tired wickets. They're a class lineup no matter who they put out. They play really well in their conditions at home and if we come up against them [at Perth] it'll be tough. We've got a great home crowd advantage here. The best crowd I ever played in was a home final here against the Scorchers a couple of years ago."

That's it for today's coverage. Come back tomorrow for some more BBL action. Until then, take care!

1
Kerr to Payne, 1 run

length ball on fifth stump, slapped to long-on for one. Sixers close out a narrow win by six runs.

Any legal delivery will end the game now with 8 needed off 1.

19.5
2
Kerr to Payne, 2 runs

full on the stumps, driven to long-on for two.

10 off two needed. And now the set man Eskinazi is off strike.

19.4
1lb
Kerr to Eskinazi, 1 leg bye

yorker full on middle stump on the toes, misses a heave across the line. Huge lbw shout denied. This looked stone dead live but was given not out. They take a run to point. Sixers review. Replays show the ball was angling away from the stumps coming over the wicket. He was hit in line on umpire's call, but the angle was taking the ball past off stump.

19.3
Kerr to Eskinazi, no run

full and down the leg side, Eskinazi had gone all the way across the stumps to heave to the leg side and missed. No wide called as this one just misses shaving leg stump.

Does Christian regret not running out Eskinazi last over when he had the chance?

19.2
4
Kerr to Eskinazi, FOUR runs

slower ball lands full on fifth stump, keeps his hands back long enough to slog this over wide long-on, two bounces over the rope.

16 off the last over to win. Pendulum has swung firmly to the Sixers after that over by Christian.

18.6
1
Christian to Payne, 1 run

full and angled into the legs outside leg stump, miscues this off the pads into cover for one.

No shortage of drama at both ends of the wicket in that sequence.

18.5
W
Christian to Tye, OUT

bullseye! Full and straight, big heave by Tye misses and off stump is knocked back.

Andrew Tye b Christian 6 (4b 0x4 0x6 5m) SR: 150

Christian pulls out of his delivery with Eskinazi leaving the non-striker's crease a bit early. Christian could have broken the bails and Eskinazi would clearly have been out. Christian audibly shouts at Eskinazi on his way back, "That's your warning, mate. That's your warning." He's been running some very tight twos and perhaps because he's getting a head start.

18.4
2
Christian to Tye, 2 runs

full on fourth stump, driven to long-on and they scamper another very tight two.

18.3
2
Christian to Tye, 2 runs

yorker lands full on off, jammed out to wide long-on, they charge back for a very tight second run. Direct hit from the boundary at the non-striker's end but Eskinazi was just home.

That last ball six to end the first innings is looking awfully significant now.

18.2
2
Christian to Tye, 2 runs

slower ball lands full on off, shuffles across and flicks to deep fine leg for two.

18.1
W
Christian to Agar, OUT

slower cutter lands back of a length on fourth stump, Agar tries to clear deep midwicket with a pull but there's no pace provided by the bowler and it lands safely in the hands of Silk two yards inside the rope at deep midwicket for a head height catch.

Ashton Agar c Silk b Christian 3 (4b 0x4 0x6 9m) SR: 75

Dan Christian is being brought on for his first over of the night here in the penultimate over at the death.

Dwarshuis to Eskinazi, no run

fullish length slower ball on fourth stump, slices a thick edged drive that lands just short of O'Keefe lunging forward at short third man on the ring and they take one.

17.5
4
Dwarshuis to Eskinazi, FOUR runs

short and wide, slices a cut high over backward point and backspins away to the rope.

If Smith hadn't slipped, he'd have gotten two hands to that chance in his stride upright.

17.4
2
Dwarshuis to Eskinazi, 2 runs

dropped! Slower length ball on sixth stump, top edged pull swirls over midwicket in the ring. Steven Smith runs back for a chance but loses his footing slightly and reaches up late but can't cling on one-handed.

17.3
2
Dwarshuis to Eskinazi, 2 runs

short on the body, pulled to deep fine leg for two. Collision between Eskinazi and Philippe at the striker's end as the relay took Philippe away from the stumps into the line of the runner.

17.2
Dwarshuis to Eskinazi, no run

slower ball back of a length on fourth stump, shuffles way across trying to scoop over fine leg and misses.
