10:10pm Right. That will be that from us for tonight. Hope you enjoyed our coverage as much as we enjoyed bringing it to you. Until next time, this is me (Shashwat) signing off on behalf of Ranjith and everyone else at ESPNcricinfo! Goodbye, goodnight and take care!

Marizanne Kapp, Player of the Match: (The perfect length) I wanted to perform so badly for my team. Previous games, I felt that I was missing my lines and lengths. I think if you want to perform, you have to put in the hard work. I felt I let my team down in the first three games. That is what makes it so tough (being an all-rounder). Luckily, I didn't bat today so I can be happy about my bowling (chuckles). It was absolutely amazing. We have such a nice group of players and it has been an amazing experience being here.

Meg Lanning, Delhi Capitals captain: Shafali certainly was (in a hurry). I was just cheerleading from the other end. Some of the cleanest hitting I have seen. Amazing knock. I just asked her to keep it simple and hit the ball straight. It was incredible to watch. Still trying to get over it. (At the half-way stage) It seemed like a new-ball wicket, and they have some very good bowlers. When it was full, we could play. Shafali did not make it look tough. We did not want to go into our shell and tried to be aggressive. Her (Kapp) natural length just seems to work on this sort of pitch. I loved watching her bowl. She has been frustrated with her performances so far but nothing of that sort tonight. (How she is feeling) Very happy tonight.

9:50pm Wow, if you ever needed a game to describe a one-sided affair, this was it. DC rocked Gujarat in their bowling powerplay and the latter could not recover. Just when they thought they had something to play with (having scored 105), Shafali came out and obliterated them to smithereens. She got to her fifty off 19 balls and ended with a 28-ball 76. Lanning played her part at the other end, feeding Shafali the strike and watching the action unfold from the other end.

Lots to ponder for the Giants. They have lots of holes to plug and they are not helping themselves with their team selections. Tonight, they were blown away by Shafali but they would do well to acknowledge the ailments that have been plaguing them throughout the tournament.

Sneh Rana, Gujarat Giants captain: (On the result) It is completely okay. The girls did their best. It was not our day and that is fine. (On the pitch) It was a bit skiddy. (Decision at the toss) I think it was a good decision because ball was coming onto the bat well. It was nice to bat on. (On her injury) It is fine and I hope it gets better. (On Shafali Verma) She was fantastic. All those shots were incredible.

Shafali Verma: I just wanted to give my best. If we finished it early, we thought we could get a rest and enjoy ourselves. In the last game, I got out while playing the flick. So I tried to play straight. Thanks to Meg and thanks to all my teammates and my family. Of course, I am known for sixes so I like that a little more. I will keep working hard and will try to score runs for my team. We were thinking of giving our best. We (me and Meg) knew we could not take this target lightly. We just kept helping each other and that helps a lot on the ground. (On the target they would have had in mind had they batted first) The wicket was very good. The ball was skidding on nicely. 200-plus is what I would say.

The required run-rate is 2.26 now for DC. That should not be a problem on most days, especially when Shafali is batting like this. The question now could maybe be around when DC will get this chase done, rather than if
