Afridi cleared by committee

One-day specialist Shahid Afridi was given a green signal by the three-man committee which was set up to scrutinize his bowling action.

Afridi was reported for a suspect bowling action by match referee Barry Jarman during the home series against England.

A spokesman of the PCB said that the committee, comprising Abdul Qadir, Ijaz Fakih and Mohsin Kamal, found no problem with the leg-spinner's quicker ones which casted doubt. The spokesman added that the committee's report will be sent to the International Cricket Council (ICC) next week on Wednesday.
