Australian team to face South Africa in 1st Test

The Australian cricket team for the first Test against South Africa starting here on Friday was announced today.

Australia: Steve Waugh (capt), Matthew Hayden, Justin Langer, Ricky Ponting, Mark Waugh, Damien Martyn, Adam Gilchrist, Shane Warne, Brett Lee, Jason Gillespie, Glenn McGrath, Andy Bichel (12th man).
