Convincing victory for HBL

Habib Bank coasted to an easy 55-run win against Rest of Punjab in the National One-day Cricket Championship match at Sheikhupura Stadium Sunday.

According to details available here, the bankers made 173 for six after the match was reduced to a 25-over-per-side affair.

Hasan Raza (45 off 63 balls, two fours) and ex-Test batsman Ijaz Ahmed Senior (44 off 18 balls, six fours and one six) were the leading scorers for Habib Bank.

Punjab, in reply, were curtailed to 118 for nine with medium-pacer Sajid Shah claiming four for 16 in his quota of five overs.
