Samir Inamdar, the Cricket Kenya chairman, has dismissed suggestions made by Roger Harper, the coach, in The Nation that the country needs to address the issues of drugs in the light of the positive test affecting Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammed Asif.

Harper was quoted as saying: "The World Cup is coming and players will be tested randomly and it is very important that they have all the necessary information about what is prohibited."
But Inamdar said that the process was in hand. "We have passed on to the players' association all material given to us by the ICC and there will be a briefing well before the World Cup.
"We need to sit down with the players and talk. It's always been intended all players, representatives and board members will attend a full briefing and will sit down and discuss this critical issue."
