Cricket team has net practice

Lahore, Dec 20: Training in the national cricket camp was reverted to net
practice here at the Gaddafi Stadium on Mondayand all the 13 trainees had
net-practice in both sessions. Earlier, it was decided on Saturday to have
an extended session of match practice under floodlights from 4 pm to 5:30
pm. However, coach Intikhab Alam changed the programme and decided to have
net practice in both the sessions.
At conclusion of net-practice, the cricketers did fieldingpractice for some
time. The two hours morning session ended at 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. The
afternoon session began at 2:30 pm.
The Gaddafi Stadium remained without supply of electricity throughout the
day on Monday. Shafqat Rana said that the WAPDA authorities informed him
that an 11 KV transformer had developed some fault, resulting in
discontinuation of electricity. The WAPDA men remained busy in removing the
faults. The Gaddafi Stadium management had to use generator to carry on its
routine work.
The PCB ad hoc committee chairman Lt.-Gen. Tauqir Zia remained busy in
having meetings with different persons at the Gaddafi Stadium on Monday.
However, details of the deliberations have not been made public.
