Services found themselves at the wrong end of a sound thrashing at the
hands of Delhi. On the fourth and final day of their Ranji Trophy
encounter at the Ferozeshah Kotla. Starting the day on 83 for 8, the
Services side needed 268 for victory. In the end they managed just 98
runs in all. Ashish Nehra added one more wicket to his tally and ended
with the impressive figured of 6/31. The second innings showing was a
disappointing one for Services, with only two batsmen making it to
double figures. Delhi's victory by 168 runs got their Ranji Trophy
campaign off to a perfect start. Delhi needed just 7 overs to complete
the formalities on the last day, and hardly broke into a sweat.
