Matthew Elliott will not be rejoining Glamorgan for 2001.The Australian opener, who may have been unavailable anyway because of the Ashes series this summer, has decided to concentrate instead on playing for and captaining his state side Victoria.
Newspapers in South Wales are suggesting that Glamorgan could approach other Australian batsmen, including Brad Hodge, Matthew Love and Jimmy Maher.
