The Zimbabwe team for the second match of its England tour, against Worcestershire at New Road, has been named. There are two changes from the team that defeated British Universities by 10 wickets at Edgbaston in the tour opener. Fast bowling all-rounder Travis Friend replaces Sean Ervine and left-arm-spinner Ray Price comes in for Douglas Marillier. The full team is as follows:
Heath Streak, captain
Tatenda Taibu, vice captain and wicketkeeper
Grant Flower
Stuart Carlisle
Dion Ebrahim
Mark Vermeulen
Barney Rogers
Travis Friend
Andy Blignaut
Ray Price
Douglas Hondo
Zimbabwe coach Geoff Marsh commented: "With only two games to go before the first Test at Lord's, it's important that as many of the squad as possible have match experience under their belts. Travis Friend is a direct replacement for Sean Ervine as a seam bowling all-rounder, and Ray Price is a left-arm-spin bowler who bats, instead of Doug Marillier, a batsman who bowls offspin.
"Playing against Worcester will take our level of preparation up a scale from the Universities game, and we're looking forward to four days of tough and competitive cricket."
