Gilchrist returns for All-star exhibition

Adam Gilchrist has signed on to join three of his former high-profile team-mates in the Johnnie Walker ACA All*Star side for next month's Twenty20 against an Australian XI at the Gabba. Shane Warne, Glenn McGrath and Matthew Hayden are also starters for the second running of the exhibition game, which is used to signal the start of the international summer.

Gilchrist, who retired from Australian duties in 2008 but still plays for the Deccan Chargers in the IPL, scored 64 in the inaugural fixture last year and will walk out again on November 22. "The highlight of my playing career was keeping to Shane Warne and Glenn McGrath, so keeping to them again is an opportunity too good to pass up," he said.

"Nowadays I tend to play against my former team-mates, so I'm looking forward to spending time on the same team again - especially on Australian soil." The match will be held in the lead-up to the first Test against West Indies starting on November 26.
