Gloucestershire Gladiators are today celebrating a unique one-day treble after they secured the Norwich Union National League title.
The NatWest Trophy and Benson & Hedges Cup winners captured their third trophy after their only rivals, Somerset Sabres, were beaten by just 10 runs by the bottom club, Lancashire Lightning, in an Old Trafford floodlit match.
Gloucestershire captain Mark Alleyne said: "It has been a great effort, and this
success was just as sweet as the others. It is really special."
Alleyne added: "It was a fantastic innings by Jamie, and the run-out saved
Lancashire. My pulse is still beating. We still have one game left against
Sussex today, we might have a toast, but the real celebration will come at the
end of the season."
