Members of the West Indies Cricket Team, arrival at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Friday, March 30th, 2007, at 10:55 a.m.
Members of the West Indies Cricket Team will arrive in Guyana tomorrow morning, Friday 30th to the welcoming sounds of tassa and African drums, welcoming faces and the sweet smiles of children. This is part a ceremony planned to welcome the team as they prepare for the big match on Sunday against Sri Lanka in the Super Eight matches of the Cricket World Cup 2007.
Members of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) and the Local Organising Committee (LOC) are among officials who will greet the cricketers on arrival.
Members of the media are invited to cover the event. UNICEF will provide transported to and from the Airport via a bus which will leave the Office, UNICEF 72 Brickdam, at 9:45 a.m. Friday, March 30th, 2007.
