HDCA scrapped from one-day cup, eight matches today

Karachi, Sept 21: Hyderabad Division Cricket Association (HDCA) was
scrapped from the National One-day Championship after the Sindh High
Court restrained it from participating in the event which ends on Oct
10.
In the background of this development, the Domestic Tournament
Monitoring Committee (DTMC) has removed Hyderabad from the draws of
the event.
DTMC chairman Javed Zaman Khan said from Lahore that Pool A will now
be reduced to five teams. He added that the Sept 28 match between
Hyderabad and Customs under Asghar Ali Shah Stadium lights will be
replaced by Karachi and PNSC game.
The match was earlier scheduled at Defence Stadium.
Meanwhile, seven matches are on cards for Wednesday. In Pool A, former
champions Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will face Karachi City
Cricket Association (KCCA) Whites at the Asghar Ali Shah Stadium. In
the other game at the National Stadium, Pakistan Customs meet
Bahawalpur.
In Pool B, National Bank will face Gujranwala at Jinnah Stadium,
Gujranwala, while the second match at the Bohranwali, Faisalabad, will
be between WAPDA and Lahore.
In Pool C, Karachi Blues will have their first taste of floodlights
when they meet Faisalabad at the Gaddafi Stadium. ADBP play Sargodha
at Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad.
In Pool D, only one match will be played between Redco and Peshawar at
the Redco ground
