On Thursday, the Kenyan Cricket selection committee named Aasif
Karim the Kenyan cricket captain for the Commonwealth games as
well as the 1999 Cricket World Cup, and all tours. The news were
gazettes in the Daily Newspapers in Kenya. It came as NO
surprise to followers of Kenyan Cricket. Aasif is the best
reader of the game of cricket in Kenya. Has been with the
national cricket team for the last 18 Years - one of the longest
serving players on the international scene.
