The joint administration team managing Kenyan cricket will hold a special meeting on May 8, ahead of the annual general meeting of the Kenya Cricket Association on May 22.
The first meeting will ratify the new constitution which has been approved by Percy Sonn, one of the mediators appointed to oversee the process. Assuming that is accepted, then that constitution will be used to run the AGM.
The elections will come up with a 20-man council to run the sport in the country. The Nairobi Provincial Cricket Association, which has now merged with the KCA's Nairobi district, will have eight representatives, Coast six, while Central and Rift will have three each.
The two opposing factions - the KCA and the government-appointed Cricket Kenya - both had input into the new consitiution. The overrding aim was to ensure that no one person could hijack the board, nor could officials be introduced via the back door.
