Kenya batsman Collins Obuya is keen to develop his all-round game ahead of next month's ICC Cricket World Cup.
The 25-year-old had a disappointing ICC World Cricket League Division 1 campaign overall, but hit a crucial 48 against Canada on Monday to help the host nation clinch a place in the final.
He did not get to bat in Wednesday's final win over Scotland - mainly due to his brother David's innings of 93 at the top of the order - but feels in good touch ahead of the showpiece tournament in the Caribbean.
"It was a very good knock against Canada which helped us to post a good total and we managed to defend the total," he said.
"I'm looking forward to the World Cup. I think it will be another good experience for me as a batsman and as an all-rounder as well."
Obuya was delighted Roger Harper's side were able to exact revenge against the Scots following their 77-run defeat to Peter Drinnen's team on Sunday.
"I think it was very nice to beat Scotland again because they beat us in the fourth game, so it was very nice to get our revenge and make it to the (inaugural ICC Twenty20 World Championships) as well," said Obuya, whose side also triumphed twice over the Scots in last month's Mombasa tri-series.
"The Twenty20 will be a very good experience in September in South Africa as well."
