lead as their Quaid-i-Azam Cricket Trophy match against Lahore
Division Cricket Association (LDCA) ended in draw at the Sheikhupura
Stadium, according to a message received here on Tuesday.
Pakistan Customs got 96 runs lead after bowling out LDCA in first
innings for 227 and replying with 323.
LDCA, however, showed good performance in thesecond innings, piling up
371 for all out after resuming in the morning at 91 for two.
Customs in their second innings were 38 for one in 3.1 overs when the
match was ended 2.5 overs before the schedule time due to bad light.
Aamir Iqbal (22) was the main scorer.
Stubborn batting by Salim Moughal (120) vanished all hopes of the
Customs team for victory. Salim Moughal began with 8 in the morning
with skipper Maqsood Raza who was at 19. Their third wicket stand
yielded 65 runs in 88 minutes. After Raza's departure Moughal with
Babar Javed (47) plundered 139 runs in 111 minutes lasted fourth
wicket partnership to stable the innings.
Salim Moughal hit 19 boundaries and one six. He batted for 200
minutes. Babar Javed smashed four fours.
Custom's off-spinner Tabish Nawab who was playing in his maiden first
class match finished with six for 122. Paceman Saad Janjua took two
wickets for 80.
