Tour itineraries for Australia, Zimbabwe

LAHORE, Aug 10: Teams from Australia and Zimbabwe willplay three
Tests and as many one-day international matches, each during their
tours of Pakistan this winter, PCB Secretary Waqar Ahmad announced
here today. The Australian side would arrive in this country on Sept
23. It would begin the tour with a four-day game against Karachi City
Cricket Association (KCCA) at the National Stadium from Sept 25 to
28. They will play their second four-day match against the Rawalpindi
Division Cricket Association (RDCA) at the KRL ground in Rawalpindi
from October 9 to 12.
Cities of Karachi and Peshawar will both host a Test and a one-day
international match, each between Pakistan and Australia while
Rawalpindi will organise a Test and Lahore a one-day international
game between the two teams.The Australians will complete their tour
on Nov 11.
It is worth pointing out that the Australian Cricket Board (ACB) had
objected to playing a Test at Niaz Arbab Stadium, Peshawar. However,
on the assurances given to them by the PCB that there will be no
recurrence of any unhappy incident of violence during the match, they
have agreed to play a Test in Peshawar.
The Zimbabwe team will reach Pakistan on Nov 17. The visiting side
will play the three one-day international matches against Pakistan at
Gujranwala, Sheikhupura and Rawalpindi. The three Tests will be held
at Peshawar, Lahore and Rawalpindi. Moreover,afour-day match between
LahoreCityCricket Association (LCCA) and Zimbabwe will also be played
at Qadhafi Stadium, Lahore from December 4 to 7. The Zimbabwewill
return home on Dec 22.

The Australia team in Pakistan:
September 25 to 28: Four-day match against KCCA at National Stadium,
Karachi.
October 1 to 5: First Test at Pindi Stadium, Rawalpindi.
October 9 to 12: Four-day match against RDCA at KRL ground, Rawalpindi.
October 15 to 19: Second Test at Arbab Niaz Stadium, Peshawar.
October 22 to 26: Third Test at National Stadium, Karachi.
November6: First one-day international at National Stadium, Karachi.
November 8: Second one-day international at Arbab Niaz Stadium, Peshawar.
November10: Third one-day international at Qadhafi Stadium, Lahore.
October 1 to 5: First Test at Pindi Stadium, Rawalpindi.
October 9 to 12: Four-day match against RDCA at KRL ground, Rawalpindi.
October 15 to 19: Second Test at Arbab Niaz Stadium, Peshawar.
