Shahadat Hossain, the Bangladesh fast bowler, has been disciplined for a breach of both the BCB and ICC Code of Conduct. Shahadat, 22, representing his club Dhaka Division, was found guilty of verbally abusing Khulna fast bowler Robiul Islam during a National Cricket League match on Monday.
He was fined 50 percent of his match fees by the match referee, Akhtar Ahmed, following a hearing after stumps in Khulna.
Level 2 of the ICC Code of Conduct says that "Using language that is obscene, offensive or of a seriously insulting nature to another Player, umpire, Referee, Team Official or spectator" could lead to a minimum 50% match fee fine or a one-Test or two-ODI ban.
