Sri Lanka Cricket congratulates Muralitharan

Mohan de Silva, President Sri Lanka Cricket, along with the Executive Committee congratulate Muralitharan on breaking the world record of capturing the highest number of Test wickets.

Sri Lanka Cricket is extremely proud of Muttiah Muralitharan, and his record breaking achievement. He has reached this milestone despite the many obstacles he has had to face in his career time and time again. SLC has always believed in Muralitharan and would like to take this opportunity to state that Sri Lanka Cricket will continue to be a pillar of strength to Muralitharan with his pursuits to achieve even greater heights.

Murali has always been a fine example and a excellent ambassador for Sri Lankan cricket. He also has all the qualities of a great cricketer that every young follower of the game should emulate.
