Marcus Trescothick is favourite with Ladbrokes to be England's leading scorer in the First Test which begins at Mohali on Monday. The inexperienced Indian pace attack may give the aggressive Trescothick the opportunity to accumulate quick runs early on, before the spinners start to exert more control as the innings progresses. Further down the order, Craig White (14/1) is attractively priced, behind all-rounder rival Flintoff (10/1).
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Sachin Tendulkar dominates the Indian odds. The little master is 11/4 to be India's top batsman in the match, with Dravid (4/1) Das, Ganguly and Laxman (all 5/1).
