The executive Committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka is happy to announce that at a meeting held on the 20th November 2000 at 05.00 pm it was unanimously decided to award the Sponsorship and Broadcasting rights for Sri Lanka Cricket for a period of three years (Jan 2001 - Dec 2003) to WORLD SPORT GROUP - NIMBUS PTE LTD.
The Board has dispatched to the World Sports Group a Letter of Intent (LOI). The main agreement will be finalized within 30 days.
There will be a very special press conference held at the official signing of the partnership - date to be announced shortly.
The Board anticipates this three-year partnership to be based on world class production, quality programming and strategic marketing.
Crickets contribution the economy of Sri Lanka in terms of foreign exchange and tourism is another significant part of this great game.
All of this simply further enhances the image of Sri Lanka cricket and re-enforces the incredible appeal of our Islands favourite sport.
