South Africa Under-19s will be without fast bowler Rabian Engelbrecht at the World Cup in Australia this month, after he was forced to withdraw from the tournament with a back strain. The news of his injury arrived two days prior to the team's departure for the World Cup, which begins in Queensland on August 11. He will be replaced by Easterns left-arm quick Vincent Moore in the squad.
Cricket South Africa youth cricket manager Niels Momberg said the loss of the experienced Engelbrecht was a blow for the team. "This is really tough on Rabian, and from an experience point of view, the team have taken a knock as he is the only player who has been to a World Cup. [But] for Vincent Moore, this is a great opportunity for him to prove himself. He has improved a lot at the national academy, and was selected as a fast bowler reserve for his efforts."
