West Indies Under-18: Ja ready to defend NorTel title

A Strong 14-member squad which includes seven players from last year's
team was yesterday selected to defend the NorTel Under-18 cricket
title in Barbados from July 13 to August 7.
The squad, captained by Tamar Lambert, includes Marlon Samuels,
Barrington Bartley Jr., Kevin Peart, Jermaine Lawson, Kamal Dennis and
Phillip Keating who were part of last year's winning squad.
Carlton Baugh Jr., Neil Wint, Phillip Keating, Glenmore Hall, Brenton
Parchment, David Bernard Jr. and Rashard Marshall are the newcomers to
the squad which leaves the island on Saturday.
Donovan Pagan and Shane Powell will also travel with the team and they
will represent the NorTel Development team in the tournament.
Meanwhile, the final trial match at Sabina Park between Tamar
Lambert's XI and David Bernard's XI ended in a draw.
Scores: Lambert's XI 452 for seven declared (Carlton Baugh 116
retired, Brenton Parchment 110 retired, Lambert 74; Sheldon Smith
3-53), David Bernard's XI 172-1 (Donovan Pagan 74 not out, David
Bernard 65 not out).
