Williams replaces injured Noffke for Australia A - Sri Lankans match

Queensland fast bowler Ashley Noffke will miss Australia A's one-day limited-overs match with the Sri Lankans at the Adelaide Oval on 7 January after it was confirmed he has fractured his right index finger.

Queensland fast bowler Ashley Noffke will miss Australia A's one-day limited-overs match with the Sri Lankans at the Adelaide Oval on 7 January after it was confirmed he has fractured his right index finger.
Noffke's place in the Australia A squad will be taken by Western Australia fast bowler Brad Williams.
Noffke suffered the injury in the field during Australia A's defeat against the Sri Lankans at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on 1 January.
He completed the match and then flew to Perth for Queensland's ING Cup match against Western Australia the following day, but was unable to take part in that game because the finger became too sore.
X-rays confirmed the fracture, which is in the end bone and into the first joint of the finger and the injury will now be assessed further to establish the treatment required and the amount of time before the player can return to action.
The Australia A squad for the day-night match is as follows: Darren Lehmann (captain) SA, Jimmy Maher (vice-captain) QLD, Greg Blewett SA, Nathan Bracken NSW, Ryan Campbell WA, Michael Clarke NSW, Ian Harvey VIC, Nathan Hauritz QLD, Brad Hodge VIC, Michael Hussey WA, Andrew Symonds QLD, Brad Williams WA.
Williams' inclusion in the squad means he will not be available for Western Australia's Pura Cup match against Queensland starting at the WACA Ground on 4 January.
The Australia A Sri Lankans match will be televised live around Australia on the Nine Network and there will be live coverage on www.baggygreen.com.au, the home of Australian cricket on the internet.
