15-Apr-2016
At North Sound, Antigua, May 27-29, 2015. Drawn. ‡West Indies Cricket Board President's XI 382 (114 overs) (R. Chandrika 74, S. O. Dowrich 78, R. L. Chase 76, J. N. Mohammed 55, C. R. Brathwaite 50*) and 161-4 (48 overs) (S. O. Dowrich 53*, R. L. Chase 55*; J. R. Hazlewood 3-4); Australians 250 (104 overs) (S. E. Marsh 118, A. C. Voges 52; C. R. Brathwaite 3-39, J. Warrican 3-93).
The Australians left out Test regulars David Warner, Steve Smith, Mitchell Johnson and Mitchell Starc, who instead practised against each other in the nets. Josh Hazlewood took two wickets in his opening spell, and Fawad Ahmed one in his first over, but after that the Australians were made to toil in humid conditions. Fifties for Rajendra Chandrika and Shane Dowrich put them in the Test frame. After Shaun Marsh and Adam Voges had added 116 for the third wicket, the Australians plunged to 217-8 against the Barbadian pair of Carlos Brathwaite and Jomel Warrican, and only just went past the follow-on target. Hazlewood then struck in each of his first three overs, before the slow bowlers were brought on to see out time.
