15.5 to N Pooran, Maxwell takes out his opposite number, and the decision to bring himself on works a charm! Perhaps a touch slower and pushed into middle and leg. That entices Pooran to get into position for the slog sweep but he cannot quite get under it. Arrows it flat and straight to Owen at deep mid wicket. Maxwell is thrilled; Pooran, well, not quite. Big wicket for Washington Freedom!. 147/3

6.1 to MD Patel, of course, he can! Where have you been all this while, Mitch Owen?! This is full on the pads and ought to have been smashed into the stands. Monank, though, goes at it a little half-heartedly and that brings fine leg into play. Adair tracks it all the way and then lunges forward at the last moment to gobble it up. Not a ball that deserved a wicket, but Washington will take that every day of the week!. 70/1

11.5 to Q de Kock, holes out to deep mid wicket, and de Kock's sprightly knock comes to an end! de Kock seemed to be tiring and Holland asks him to generate all the power on this slower short ball. de Kock tries but comes up second-best, and quite comfortably at that too. A tame chip towards Owen on the fence, and the Aussie makes no mistake. de Kock is disappointed as he walks off, but he has laid a solid foundation for his side!. 114/2 |

14.3 to GJ Maxwell, timmmmbbbberrrrrr, and Maxwell is outta here! Zipped in full on leg stump and Maxwell, having already hit two sixes, is in the mood to go after anything and everything. This, though, was a ball that he perhaps needed to keep out. Swings wildly at it, misses the line completely and hears the splattering of leg stump moments later. Boult answers MINY's call, but has the damage already been done?. 151/5 17.2 to Mukhtar Ahmed, huge lbw shout, and given by the umpire! Reviewed by Mukhtar! Another pin-point yorker on leg stump. Mukhtar is late in getting his bat down and plays all around it. Gets smashed on the back leg and that looked pretty adjacent. To add to the drama, Mukhtar then wandered out of his crease and could have been run out too. But back to the real issue of the lbw first. No bat involved. And Ball Tracking has the ball cannoning into the stumps. Mukhtar falls, and MINY have more than a sniff now!. 172/7

18.6 to MR Adair, my goodness - that is a catch and a half, and this game goes into the final over! Misses the wide yorker on the shorter side, and Adair's eyes light up. He throws the plumbing at it and carves it flat towards deep point. Bracewell seems to pick it a little late but does not panic. Keeps his eyes on the ball the entire way and then sprawls forward to grasp it inches off the turf. Very similar to what Adair did earlier in the evening, and MINY are still not out of it completely!. 186/8

2.5 to R Ravindra, knocks him over, and Ravindra will not trouble the scorers anymore tonight! Slower ball on a length on middle and leg. Ravindra backs away, trying to access the off side. Tries to hit it too square, though, and with the ball not being short enough for the cut, he swishes at thin air. Hears the death rattle soon after, and MINY, after 2.5 overs, finally have some respite!. 45/1 16.2 to AJ Pienaar, taken superbly on the fence by Kieron Pollard, and MI New York are not going away! Back of a length outside off. Pienaar stands up tall and for the longest while, it seems as if he has enough wood on it to clear the fence. But he has to contend with Pollard, and as countless before him have found out, that task is fraught with danger. Pollard canters to his left, nonchalantly flings out both of his mitts to his left and makes the ball nestle between those bucket-sized hands. MINY have a bit of a sniff, and Washington Freedom are not out of the woods just yet!. 169/6

5.5 to AGS Gous, Gous perishes, and he is absolutely livid with himself! Given a bit of air but also landing in the slot just outside off. Gous backs away and looks to go inside-out. Gets a decent chunk of it too but does not generate the elevation he wants. Hits it flat and straight to Pooran, who performs a small juggling act before eventually holding on. Pooran is thrilled to bits; Gous, the exact opposite!. 74/2 7.2 to MJ Owen, Owen holes out to long off, and Sunny Patel roars in delight! Dangles the carrot again, outside off. Owen picks the leg-spinner and looks to go downtown. The bat face closes upon impact, though, meaning he does not generate the elevation he wants. Pooran, stood on the fence, accepts the offering gleefully and Owen throws his head back in disappointment. That is a huge, huge wicket!. 91/3
