Lahore, Dec 5: The national selection committee held its first
meeting here on Sunday evening to chalk out a strategy for the
three-nation triangular one-day series involving Australia and
India.
Chief selector Salahuddin Ahmad and fellow selector Iqbal Qasim
met team captain Wasim Akram. Third selector Masood Iqbal
couldn't attend the meeting as he was busy preparing for MBA
exams, PCB secretary Shafqat Rana said.
Shafqat Rana told Dawn that the selectors wanted to have a good
look at 12 or 14 players who have been doing in the current
season.
He said in all probability, the selectors would watch the boys in
the nets on Dec 9. He said a short-duration camp would also be
set up to prepare the players for the series starting from Jan 9.
