Abdul Qadir (five for 26) helped Lahore Blues a five-wicket win
against Karachi Blues in the Inter-city Veteran's Cricket
Tournament final here at the Bagh-i-Jinnah ground on Sunday.
Set to score 165 for win, the Lahore Blues overtook the target
for the loss of five wickets in 29.3.
Ali Zia (63) and Imran Bucha (27) were the top scorers for the
Lahore Blues.
Former test star Abdul Qadir with his fine bowling restricted the
visitors to 164 for eight in the stipulated 30 overs.
KhawajaIqtidar (30) and Mohammad Ijaz (33) were the key scorers.
Former Pakistan captain Ramiz Hasan Raja gave away the prizes.
Abdul Qadir besides being declared as the man-of-the-final also
adjudged the best bowler of the tournament to earn two cash
prizes of Rs 10,000 each. Imran Bucha was declared the best
batsman of the tournament.
Mian Mohammad Aslam and Javed Ashraf were the umpires.
