6.45pm: Right, that's your lot for the English Test summer. 6.25pm: Time for the presentations, Zak Crawley is Man of the Match for his first-innings 267: [Believe last few days] "No I can't, it's a great honour and I certainly don't see myself in the same calibre as the players on that list. I felt in good touch, nice ball to get first up, settled the nerves. Managed to get off to a good star and then thankfully I managed to cash in and get a big score. I found it was good prep for this bowling attack. Obviously you want to play every Test and a real shame to be dropped, but I did some work in the nets preparing for these bowlers and it turned out well. Quite rare to score a hundred so just wanted to make the most of it on a good wicket. It'll give me confidence going forward, hasn't fully sunk in yet, have to see what I did well and what I can take form it, but hopefully I can build on it."

Jos Buttler is England's Man of the Series: [Anderson?] "The variety of skills, so many weapons, best seat in the house and blown away by the longevity. He's in great shape an seems to be getting better and better. [Drops?] Pretty sheepish, luckily he's quite an upbeat kind of guy, sure that helped his mood.. Great day today, shame it wasn't a full house. [Innings?] It's really important to remind yourself, keep the confidence and try and extend it. Loads more to work on, want to keep improving but pleasing to turn around and find some form. Any time I can hit one straight back past the bowler is a good sign. Working on hitting on-drives, helps balance. Settles you down on a good pitch, best we've played on, happy to make a contribution. Those two guys, Burns and Sibley as well, Pope and Crawley it's exciting to watch them bat. They put bowlers under pressure and make your job easier at the other end. [Break from bubble?] Been a long time, challenging for the guys not playing, great effort and huge thanks to Pakistan and West Indies as well for coming."

Mohammad Rizwan is named Pakistan Man of the Series: "Thank you, as we know it's difficult for the keepers here, especially to fast bowling, so I did some drills that helped me. I practised and people told me about keeping to fast bowlers, so I practised with tape balls, working with Rashid Latif. It's difficult, sometimes you get Yasir Shah on the stumps, Abbas seaming it, but it's a good experience to play in England. Difficult but I did very well. My batting, I learned that you must play five phases in Test cricket. Sometimes you play with the tail and it's difficult but this is the beauty of Test cricket."

Pakistan captain Azhar Ali: [Manchester defeat?] "Great regret, that one session could have made the difference, but congratulations to England they won that match and the series, they played good cricket. We took positives through the series, we were competitive throughout, which is very good. Even if you win you can improve, we'll have a look at that, certain things we can do, but as a team I'm proud of the way we fought. Whenever they were under pressure they responded well. The team stuck together and kept fighting but unfortunately the weather wasn't great in the last two matches. But everyone fought, you can easily get rolled over in this position. [Hundred] In the third match but it was an important innings for me, and the team. At least I got some runs, under pressure, things not going well until then but you need an innings like that to get back confidence. Would like to thank everyone, ECB and authorities who arranged the series. Fans were starved of cricket but we got the game going and managed to entertain them."

England captain Joe Root: "Very pleased with how it's gone and how we've played. Nice to be here having won both series. Celebrating what a fantastic achievement it's been, Stuart said some lovely words, how today was very similar to a cold Wednesday night in the Premier League - if there was a cricket version this would be it. So to stand up and perform and be at the elite end of Test cricket is very special. We know how valuable he is, as a senior player and leader of bowlers, and a credit to our country. [Crawley?] If you saw his work ethic, his game, how smart he is, I'm not surprised at all. To see it this early in his career was a joy to watch, to construct that innings the way he did. When you play Test cricket, you'll see people wanting to perform. We knew we'd have to play well and I'm proud of how we've gone about it on the field. Thanks to everyone involved, it's been thoroughly enjoyable and thanks to both teams for coming over."

6.10pm: We've had some cricket, and then some. Just the 27.1 overs on day five, but a bit of history for our troubles. Hopefully we'll hear from Mr Anderson shortly... but while we wait for that and the end-of-series presentations, why not cast your vote in our Anderson BOTC poll (a little bespoke selection to mark his 600th). It's been a cracking "bio-secure" Test summer, mad props to West Indies and Pakistan for helping to make it so. Two rain-affected draws in a row in Southampton, but that can't take the edge off a very special seven weeks

Monish Pokhrel: "If not then, right now Pakistan must have felt the value of 1st test loss. It was never England's game, but the lack of basics and inexperienced set of players let the game slip away, resulting in series loss as well." Aye, could have been a very different 1-0 result

"Root should've tried 5 to 6 overs more. Only one wicket of babar and and one of fawad/rizwan could've change the scene as pakistan is famous to loose from no where." I suspect, Zii Shan, they've all just seen enough of the Ageas Bowl for one summer...

That's it, they're calling it a day/Test/series, Anderson will lead England off the field. Pakistan's players and coaching staff line up to shake his hand (they've all been thoroughly sanitised, I'm sure). He's a fast bowler right down to his boots, loves the hard yakka, rarely smiles... but he can enjoy this evening, having become the first fast man to 600 Test wickets earlier today

Now, into the last hour... How long before Root offers a hand/fist/elbow to be bumped? Pakistan have done most of the hard work, but they won't want to lose another. Maybe Babar fancies three figures, too
