a leave outside off to end things
SL U-23s vs U.A.E., Group B at Singapore, Aug 20 2013 - Ball by Ball Commentary
Not withstanding a good 101 from their opener Shehan Jayasuriya in the morning against some decent UAE bowling, Sri Lanka U-23 have their bowlers and fielders largely to thank for victory. It was they who kept peppering away at the batsmen, making run-scoring difficult on a good wicket and though at one stage with Shaiman Anwar (53) and Saqib Anwar (71) going well, it looked like UAE were setting up a good chase, the run-rate was always climbing and in the end they were simply pushed out of the reckoning. Good performances by many players, Man of the Match is Lahiru Jayaratne of Sri Lanka for his fine bowling at the death which saw off UAE.
