11:39pm Right. That will be that from us for tonight. Hope you enjoyed our coverage just as much as we enjoyed bringing it to you. Until next time, this is me (Shashwat) signing off on behalf of Ranjith and everyone else at ESPNcricinfo. Goodbye and take care!

Faf du Plessis, Texas Super Kings captain: (What pleased him most) If you look at the power they have in the middle, the strongest hitters in the game - the composure we showed there. Bravo with his experience, and Mohsin, the way he bowled, just pleased with that. (On Mohsin) He has got some really good tricks. Wrist-spin is always a good factor. The consistency he has been showing has been excellent. I have the confidence in him now to throw him the ball in the 16th over against David. I like fielding, as does Miller. We always want the ball to come to us. (On Bravo) We have played a lot of cricket together. We think alike, our brains are very similarly wired. He identifies as a 29-year-old now (smiles), and he is moving nicely for someone of his age. (On the support) Once again, amazing. Thank you for coming out. Hopefully we can get the same following in the next leg.

Kieron Pollard, MI New York captain: (On the target) Yeah, of course. It was gettable on a track like this. We had a chat about how we should go about it but we fell short. We have not quite got it right with the bat so far. (On no one batting through) Every time we tried to put up a partnership, we lost wickets. We got off to a slow start again. Something for us to look at. (On David batting higher up) The temptation is always there. Had we gotten across the line, the conversation would have been different. We just did not get the job done. Everyone is putting their hands up to bat higher, maybe next game all of us will be opening (smiles).

Devon Conway, Player of the Match: (On the conditions) It was a slight challenge up front. The ball was not quite coming on in the powerplay. Faf and me decided to take a bit more time. (On the conversations with du Plessis) We chat out there, we have a sort of a blueprint - try to be as positive as possible. Assess the situation and communicate as quickly as possible.

Daniel Sams: (On the conditions) It was one of those wickets where if you have runs on the board, you could defend it. The way we started with the ball, we got in front of the game and we are able to hold on to it. (On the support) It has been awesome. My first game here and the guys have been saying how awesome it has been. Hopefully it is the same in Morrisville. (Sharing the stage with Bravo) You want to soak up everything he does. Have had a few good conversations with him, good being on the same team and not having to face him.

11:21pm Phew, that was an extraordinary bowling display by TSK, especially at the death. They only gave away 39 runs in the last five overs, with Bravo applying the initial squeeze and Sams finishing it off. That, though, was only possible because Mohsin broke open the game in the 14th over, picking up both Jahangir and Pollard. David and Rashid offered MINY a bit of hope but could not propel their team across the line.

MINY, when they look back at the chase, will view the first half as the phase where they let things drift. Taylor scratched around for 15, consuming 21 balls. Jahangir, who ended up as their top scorer, also took 38 balls for his 41. That meant they never really controlled the required run-rate and as wickets fell in the middle phase, their task only got progressively tougher.

Sams to Boult, 1 run

that will be that! TSK win by 17 runs! Full and angled into the stumps. Boult whips it down to long on and trudges across to the other end. What a game this has been and TSK have held their nerve right at the end to pick up two more points!

19.5
1
Sams to Rashid Khan, 1 run

very full delivery just outside off. Rashid sits deep in his crease and shovels it down to long on for one more run

19.4
1
Sams to Boult, 1 run

slower delivery dug into the track outside off. Boult reaches out for it and slaps it down to long on for a single

Three legal deliveries and TSK will be home...

19.3
Sams to Boult, no run

off-pace delivery on a length just outside off. Boult swings his blade like an axe and only swats away a few flies in the process

Boult in at 10. Sams goes around the wicket

Sams on a hat-trick, and this game might well have slipped away from MINY, with Rashid stranded at the non-striker's end

Sams to Rabada, OUT

Rabada bites the dust too! Two in two for Sams! Slower delivery on a length outside off. Rabada tries to tonk it into next week but loses his shape completely. Shanks it and the ball floats to long off, where du Plessis completes a much easier catch this time out!

Sams to David, OUT

that goes miles up in the air and when it comes down, du Plessis is there to gobble it up! Length delivery just outside off stump. David's eyes light up and he has an almighty swing at it. Gets it off the toe-end, though, and the ball lobs up towards long on. du Plessis judges it to perfection, dives to his left and completes the catch! Is that the game?

Tim David c du Plessis b Sams 24 (19b 1x4 1x6) SR: 126.31

21 needed off the final over. Sams will bowl it. David on strike. Who are you backing?

du Plessis gets a hand to it, what an effort! Full toss way outside off. Rashid gives it everything he has and slices it towards mid off. du Plessis flies to his left and gets a hand to it but cannot hold on

1
Dwayne Bravo to David, 1 run

full toss outside off stump. David lays back deep in his crease and powers it back past Bravo. du Plessis comes around from long off and mops it up

24 off 8. MINY need two boundaries here...

1
Dwayne Bravo to Rashid Khan, 1 run

banged into the track outside off stump. Rashid sits deep in his crease and heaves it away towards deep mid wicket. Just a single, though. Good anticipation by Santner to keep it down to a single

Dwayne Bravo to Rashid Khan, FOUR runs

and that is exactly where Rashid goes! Off-pace delivery dug into the track outside off. Rashid does well to reach it, let alone get enough bat to clear mid off comfortably!

Over to you, Rashid. Bravo stays around the wicket. Mid off is up now

Sams to Rashid Khan, (no ball)

oh dear! Slower delivery that goes awry and ends up being a very high full toss. It dips but does not dip enough as Rashid ducks underneath it. Called a No ball, rightly so!

17.3
Sams to Rashid Khan, no run

back of a length delivery just outside off. Rashid tries the cute dab past short third but cannot get any bat on it. That was not far from the outside edge either

17.2
4
Sams to Rashid Khan, FOUR runs

Rashid is underway with a boundary! Slow, short, wide and begging to be hit. Rashid gives it the lot and slashes it over backward point for four!

back of a length outside off. David hangs back and punches it towards deep cover point for one

Sams is back. Around the wicket

That nine-run Bravo over has pushed the required rate over 13. But the wicket also means that Rashid has now joined David. These two know how to finish a game and you could argue that this pair is the most-equipped for this sort of situation

Dwayne Bravo to Hammad, OUT

Hammad perishes! Slower delivery dug into the track outside off. Hammad waits an eternity for it before finally having a pop at it. Gets decent power on it but because the ball is so slow, he cannot quite get the elevation he desires. Arrows it towards long off, where du Plessis runs to his right and snaps up a sharp chest-high catch with his fingers pointing upwards!
