That's all for today. We'll be back with playoffs action after a day's break. We hope you enjoyed our coverage. Until next time, it's goodbye and goodnight from me, Rvel Zahid

Multan Sultans are back to business as usual and have sent a loud and clear warning to the other three teams that they're hungry for another title. They finish at the top of the tree with 14 points. It was a resounding win as they outclassed Quetta Gladiators in all departments of the game. Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi will lock horns in the Qualifier 1 while Quetta Gladiators will face Islamabad United in the Eliminator 1. David Willey triggered the slide in the powerplay and then Abbas Afridi and Usama Mir didn't allow them to get off the hook. We didn't get a nail-biter today, unlike the story of last week. It wasn't the highest quality of cricket from Quetta but they have some time to gather their thoughts and remap their strategy before the all-important playoffs. On a tricky surface, Mohammad Rizwan and Johnson Charles did the bulk of the scoring for a par score and then Iftikhar Ahmed put the cherry on top with an eight-ball 20-run cameo. In reply, Quetta were going nowhere with the chase and their progress was beset by frequent loss of wickets. The fate of the game was decided once the top guns were neutralized early in the piece

Here's the updates points table at the end of league stage:

15.5
W
Usama Mir to Mohammad Wasim, OUT

Usama getting rid of the tail quickly, bowls a beautiful legbreak that turned sharply from leg and crashed onto the stumps.

Mohammad Wasim b Usama Mir 11 (13b 0x4 1x6 21m) SR: 84.61
15.4
Usama Mir to Mohammad Wasim, no run

Lovely googly that spun back, but he's equal to the task and shields his stumps well

Taha: "@Motown Faheem Ashraf is another candidate. He's got plenty of experience"

15.3
Usama Mir to Mohammad Wasim, no run

Beauty, fuller and slides across off appreciably, lunges forward and more fresh air

Usama Mir to Mohammad Wasim, no run

Play and a miss, flight and rip, turns away outside off,

15.1

14.5
Willey to Usman Tariq, no run

Mean short ball at his shoulder, fended to point

KKIANI: "Arafat Minhas is a quality all rounder as per U-19 world cup but was not utilized properly. Saim Ayub is the other option for good all rounder. This PSL produce quality spinners Mehran Mumtaz , Saim Ayub"

14.4
W
Willey to Abrar Ahmed, OUT

Abrar threw the kitchen sink at it, shortish and hung away outside off, he wanted to pump that over midwicket but ended up nicking it back to the bowler, clear sound of the bat

Abrar Ahmed c †Mohammad Rizwan b Willey 0 (2b 0x4 0x6 6m) SR: 0
14.3
1
Willey to Mohammad Wasim, 1 run

Gets the wide yorker right, scratches it away awkwardly towards mid-off

14.2
6
Willey to Mohammad Wasim, SIX runs

Wohoho! Goes full on leg, he whacks it in the air with all his gung ho-ness over deep backward square for a six, it mostly stays a hit when he swing it like a swinging door

14.1
Willey to Mohammad Wasim, no run

Shrieking for an lbw and finger stays down. Targets the knee roll, it landed on shortish length and hit the thigh on the back leg as he tried to lift him up and over midwicket, pitched outside leg and let's save some time

13.6
Usama Mir to Abrar Ahmed, no run

Delicious slower mysterious legbreak turning away markedly from a length outside off, two slips lurking, he was uncertain what to do with it, lucky it didn't find an edge

13.5
W
Usama Mir to Amir, OUT

Bemused him with a peach of a wrong'un that pitches full and spins sharply to uproot middle pole, execution was perfect, that's more like it. Gotta toss it up and allows it to spin. Amir stepped down and looked to swing him over midwicket, didn't account for the turn, Usama was supremely accurate on this occasion, it was too good for a tailender

Mohammad Amir b Usama Mir 3 (6b 0x4 0x6 8m) SR: 50
13.4
1
Usama Mir to Mohammad Wasim, 1 run

Slower ball, fuller length and it turns away from middle, draws him forward in defends, takes the outside edge and dribbles away to short third, a quicker through would have created trouble

Usama Mir to Amir, 1 run

Fuller legbreak, down on one knee and tries to slog sweep him, can't time it well

13.2
Usama Mir to Amir, no run

13.1
Usama Mir to Amir, no run

Abbas Afridi to Mohammad Wasim, 2 runs

Goes full with full force, drills it downtown and long-on makes a well-timed intervention to prevent a boundary

Hurls an intimidating bumper on a suffocating off-stump line, lifts his leg and tries to power it over the keeper's head, beaten by the pace and searing bounce
