South Africa Under-19 140 for 2 (Jennings 45) beat Zimbabwe Under-19 136 (Engelbrecht 4-19) by eight wickets
Scorecard
South Africa Under-19s had little trouble posting a fourth straight victory over Zimbabwe U-19s in Harare. The home side's batting folded for 136, a total which was far too small to worry South Africa, who overhauled the target with nearly 14 overs to spare.
The trouble started for Zimbabwe with medium-pacer Rabian Engelbrecht taking two early wickets to reduce them to 31 for 2. They struggled to put together any partnerships, and Riyaad Henry's double-strike left them gasping at 60 for 5 in the 21st over. Roy Kahiya proved the hardest batsman to dislodge, and he put on 33 for the sixth wicket with Nathan Waller before another flurry of wickets. With Zimbabwe having lost eight by the 34th over, No. 10 Tinotenda Chiwara decided to hit out and his 10-ball 26 took the locals to 136. Engelbrecht was the most effective of the South African bowlers, finishing with 4 for 19.
South Africa had few hiccups during the chase of the tiny target, especially after opener Quinton de Kock's brisk 39. The other opener, captain Keaton Jennings, made a steady 45 and with the help of Gihahn Cloete's unbeaten 37, South Africa cruised to a 4-0 lead.
