timed to perfection to finish the match! Slower ball on off, opens the face and caresses this behind point to the rope to clinch a berth in the final!
8.43 pm So both the women's and men's Southern Brave sides will be at Lord's for their respective finals tomorrow. A thumping performance here at the Oval by James Vince's men, sealing victory with 32 balls to spare to book a date against Birmingham Phoenix tomorrow evening in St John's Wood.
Match Hero is George Garton: "It's a great feeling. It was nice to put in a performance in the Eliminator. We look for match winners in our team so it was nice to be able to put my hand up and help get us into the final. It's true that we got off to a slow start but that feels an age ago now. People don't really remember the first game. In the short format it's all about getting on a roll and winning is a habit. We seem to be able to do that and put in performances when they count, so very happy. Our bowling unit today really put their hands up. Everyone performed really well and we've seen lads dovetail brilliantly. Tonight was my night. But I thought the team, especially the batting to go out there and smack it around was top drawer. Hopefully we can take that forward into the final."
So we're down to a final doubleheader tomorrow for all the tasty branded crisps you can devour in one sitting. Southern Brave take on Oval Invincibles in the Women's Final in the afternoon before Birmingham Phoenix take on Southern Brave in the Men's Final in the evening. Come back and join us tomorrow for all the action at Lord's. For Alan Gardner, I'm Peter Della Penna. Take care!
bouncer on the stumps, pulled tamely but safely wide of midwicket through square leg for one.
overmatched on fourth stump, driven back through mid-off to the rope.
Cook to bowl 10 straight here too.
good length ball on the legs, flicked into midwicket.
bouncer over the stumps at 83 mph, goes to hook and beaten. Leaping effort by Moores behind the stumps to keep it from being four byes.
yorker on the legs, flicked to deep square leg.
short on the body at 80 mph, pulled fine to deep fine leg.
Peter: "At least the Rockets won't have to worry about the cut-off." Way to look at the bright side.
offcutter at 70 mph on the stumps, punched away into the off side.
Cook on for his third set of five. 12 runs to win off 40 balls. Slip in.
yorker on the legs, dug out to midwicket.
bouncer on the legs, fought off the gloves awkwardly.
back of a length slower ball at 78 mph cuts away from off stump and beats a prod.
back of a length on off, defended back to the bowler.
full on leg stump, defended to point.
de Lange will bowl out his quota with 10 straight here.
slower length ball on the pads at 78 mph, flicked gently to deep fine leg.
full on off at 92 mph, prodded tentatively into the covers for one.

Slip and leg gully come in now for the new batter Whiteley with only 13 runs to defend and 47 balls left...
the drop only costs two runs. Length ball that Davies pushes hard at but is beaten on the inside edge by seam movement that flicks the bat. Big appeal denied initially but the bat was far away from the pads. Could only have been one thing producing the noise. They go for the review and sure enough a spike appears as it passes the bat. Decision overturned.
dropped! Hales with a great effort that is ultimately fruitless running back from mid-on. It was a full ball on the stumps that Davies tries to shovel down the ground but gets under it too much. Hales runs back 20 yards from the ring and dives toward the rope but shells this after getting two hands to it on the over the shoulder chance.
Marchant de Lange to get one more set in.
short on the legs at 60 mph, pulls this fine and deep fine leg dives in vain after charging to his right along the rope.
googly on a good length on middle, blocked out on the back foot.
