Trinbago Knight Riders v St Lucia Zouks, Tarouba

Our XI: Sunil Narine, Lendl Simmons, Rahkeem Cornwall, Darren Bravo, Colin Munro, Kieron Pollard, Roston Chase, Mohammad Nabi, Sikandar Raza, Kesrick Williams, Scott Kuggeleijn
Substitutes: Najibullah Zadran, Andre Fletcher, Ali Khan, Fawad Ahmed
NOTE: We might not always be able to tip you off about late injury (or other relevant) updates, so do keep an eye out for the toss before making your final picks.
Captain: Mohammad Nabi
Nabi has shown why he was the first pick in the CPL 2020 draft. According to his captain Daren Sammy, they went for Nabi to fill the void left by Chris Gayle, and with 11 wickets and 135 runs in eight matches, he has fully repaid his captain's trust. One again, make 'Mr President' your captain.
Vice-captain: Sunil Narine
After being rested in the last game, Narine should be back for Saturday's fixture. While he has picked up only five wickets in four games, he has made up for that with his batting, scoring 140 runs from four innings at an average of 35 and a strike rate of 150.
Hot Picks
Kieron Pollard: Like Narine, the Knight Riders had rested Pollard as well in the last match but he too should be back. With the pitches in the Caribbean proving difficult to score on, Pollard showed what brute power can do. He stuck a 28-ball 72 against the Barbados Tridents to give his side an improbable win before following it up with an unbeaten 33 off 16 balls against the Jamaica Tallawahs.
Roston Chase: With most games being low-scoring ones, Chase's ability to stick around and anchor the innings means he is the leading run-scorer for the Zouks this season. With the ball in hand, he has extracted enough from the spin-friendly pitches to collect six wickets from the five innings he has bowled in.
Value picks
Lendl Simmons: Simmons struggled a bit in the earlier games, but with 210 runs in the season, he still leads the run chart for the Knight Riders. His 96 off 63 balls against the Patriots gave a glimpse of why he was the second-highest run-scorer last season.
Sikandar Raza: Raza has proved his utility with the ball by taking five wickets in the last two games. He may not always be a confirmed starter, but if he does play, he adds the value with both bat and ball.
Points to note
  • Both teams have made it to the semi-finals, and while the Knight Riders cannot be dislodged from the pole position, the Zouks have a chance to rise to the second place on the points table.
  • Given the result won't have any impact on the Knight Riders' standings on the points table, they may opt to rest some of their key players. So do keep an eye out for the playing XIs.
