American-born millionaire Paul Getty was introduced to cricket by his neighbour, the Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger. Getty bought Wisden in 1993, built a cricket ground on his estate in Wormsley, and helped finance redevelopment work at Lord's. In 2003, the Wisden Group bought Cricinfo for about £5 million.
