As part of the "Cricket Week" celebrations, Pakistan's allrounder Wasim Akram will lead the Asia team and West Indian superstar Brian Lara the Rest of the World team for an one-day match to be played in Bangladesh on April 8. This was announced in Delhi by ICC President Jagmohan Dalmiya on Tuesday.
The teams:
Asia: Wasim Akram (captain), Sanath Jayasuriya, Moin Khan, Saeed Anwar, Sachin Tendulkar, Aravinda de Silva, Ajay Jadeja, Abdur Razzaq, Robin Singh, Anil Kumble, Muttiah Muralitharan and Shoaib Akhtar.
Rest of the World: Brian Lara, Mark Waugh, Adam Gilchrist, Jaques Kallis, Michael Bevan, Neil Johnson, Lance Klusener, Daniel Vettori, Chris Cairns, Curtly Ambrose, Allan Donald and Andrew Caddick.
