The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) today confirmed that the Middlesex
cricketer, David Alleyne, has received three penalty points under the ECB's
new discipline code following an incident during Middlesex's Second XI
Trophy match against Warwickshire on 15th July.
Alleyne was reported by umpire Barrie Leadbeater for a Level Two breach of
the new code (showing serious dissent at an umpire's decision by word or
action).
The penalty points remain on Alleyne's record for a period of 12 months.
The accumulation of nine or more penalty points in any 12 month period will
result in an automatic suspension.
The ECB's new discipline code came into force at the start of this season.
