Georgetown (Guyana), May 8: The Director operation of the Pakistan
Cricket Board, Mr. Yawar Saeed, who is here after attending the ICC
emergency meeting at Lord's to discuss the match-fixing issue, said on
Monday that Justice Qayum's report and finding of the investigation
that he carried out will not be made public soon as was expected.
"It is unlikely that during the Test series here the report will be
made public. The report will definitely made public and it will be
given to the ICC in its next meeting in six weeks time. This is what I
am given to understand" he said.
He was not ready to elaborate much on the issue. He, however, said "it
is unfair that Pakistan is one country which is being singled out in
accusation of match-fixing and bribery. Now we know more about
others. It is really sad that game, supposed to be gentleman's game,
has been tarnished to a great extent by allegations."
