Darryl Foster, the experienced former coach of Kent and Western Australia, has been appointed as a technical advisor for Sri Lanka's forthcoming tour of England.
Foster will work with the team up until the end of the three-match Test series, working specifically with the pace bowlers, but also providing technical assistance and support to head coach Dav Whatmore.
Foster, a bio-mechanical expert based at the University of Western Australia, has had a long working relationship with the Sri Lanka having helped to establish a successful fast bowling academy three years ago and acted as fast bowling advisor since.
Sri Lanka will travel to England with their strongest back-up team in their touring history, a team that includes: head coach Whatmore, technical advisor Foster, leading international physio Alex Kontouri, manager Chandra Shaffter and a full-time video analyst.
