Warwickshire have appointed Mark Greatbatch as their academy director. Greatbatch, a former New Zealand Test batsman, coached Central Districts in New Zealand for six years from 1998. Greatbatch, 41, then took up an appointment at Giggleswick School in Yorkshire in 2003 before accepting the role with Warwickshire.
"We were delighted with the tremendous calibre of the candidates for this vitally important role," said Dennis Amiss, Warwickshire's chief executive. "But ultimately it was Mark who impressed the interview panel most and we look forward to his creative input in the development of our future players".
