Islamabad, Nov 7: Jawadul Hassan, former secretary Islamabad Cricket
Association (ICA), has filed an appeal to Pakistan Cricket Board ad
hoc Committee against "arbitrary" action of ICA ad hoc Committee that
slapped a "life ban" on him eleven days ago on disciplinary grounds.
Apart from slapping a ban on him, the ICA ad hoc committee has also
refrained all affiliated clubs of ICA to disassociate themselves from
the former secretary.
The ad hoc committee has also written to Brig Shami, head of the
Rawalpindi/Islamabad Scrutiny Committee, not to allow Jawad to enter
his name in the club. The action was reportedly endorsed by the PCB ad
hoc committee.
The life ban was announced in response to the press release issued by
the former secretary demanding ouster of the ICA ad hoc committee
which he alleged was damaging cricket in the capital.
In his appeal, the former secretary has maintained that the action
taken by the ICA ad hoc committee was in complete violation of rules,
besides, he was not given any show cause notice to explain his
position
