Lahore, Sept 20: Splendid unbeaten knock by captain Inzamam-ul-Haq (63) and opener Faisal Iqbal (64) and deadly bowling by leg-spinner Danish Kanariya (four for 48) helped Camp Eleven "B" to register five wickets win over "A" team in a practice match at the Gaddafi Stadium here on Wednesday.
The teams were formed from the probables of national training camp and the match was organized to have final look on the performance of the players before selecting a team for the ICC Knock Out Trophy.
Set to chase a target of 245 in the stipulated 45 overs, Inzamam-ul-Haq played key role after his team took a slow start, completing 100 runs in the 28th over. Haq laced his knock with five fours and two big sixes and took just 39 balls during unbeaten stay of 67 minutes.
Earlier, Faisal Iqbal scored a useful 64 with eight fours off 88 balls. Inzamam-ul-Haq with Azhar Mahmood (34, two sixes, one four) collected breezy 75 runs in just 43 minutes which put them on the winning track and repaired the damage of the slow start.
Batting first, opener Imran Nazir contributed a sparkling knock of 96 to the "A" Eleven, studded with six sixes and as many boundaries. He faced 125 balls. Abdur Razzaq also hit a speedy knock of 70 off 69 balls.
He slammed one six and five fours. Moin Khan, however, was in harsh mood and registered a hurricane knock of 41 with five mighty sixes. He consumed only 21 balls.
For "B" Eleven, leg-spinner Danish Kanariya was the most successful bowler, taking four wickets for 48 in 8.1 overs included the prize wicket of Imran Nazir. But hisfine performance could not attract the selector as he has no place in the team selected for the Kenya tour.
