As expected, Ireland have stuck with their World Cricket League squad for the World Cup. The team, which has just qualified for the Intercontinental Cup final after victory over UAE, will be led by Trent Johnston and coached by Adrian Birrell.
The WCL was a disappointment for Ireland as they fell to three final-over defeats and finished fifth, ahead of only rank outsiders Bermuda. However, they can call on the services of talented batsman Eoin Morgan, who is on Middlesex's books, and Northamptonshire wicketkeeper Niall O'Brien.
