We're looking for someone to lead a content team based across locations in creating cricket content for young audiences across a number of platforms - primarily ESPNcricinfo and its feeds on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. The position will be based in Mumbai and will report to the editor-in-chief of ESPNcricinfo.
We're looking for someone to lead a content team based across locations in creating cricket content for young audiences across a number of platforms - primarily ESPNcricinfo and its feeds on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. The position will be based in Mumbai and will report to the editor-in-chief of ESPNcricinfo.
What you'll do
- Lead teams located in Mumbai, Bangalore and London, who create and publish cricket content in a variety of non-traditional formats, for young audiences.
- Help develop new storytelling methods to render content more appealing to the target audience.
- Work towards delivering targets on social-media engagement and audience growth.
- Collaborate with external partners when required, to extend the reach of ESPNcricinfo's content.
- Coordinate and work closely with the various ESPNcricinfo content teams - video, news desk, statistics, features, correspondents, and with other social-media teams across the world.
- Liaise and work with the business-development team on off-platform strategies and initiatives.
- Understanding of business priorities, strategic planning and execution.

What you need to have
- An understanding of the digital-content landscape and of how young fans consume content across platforms. The ability to stay up to date with the target audience's media consumption patterns and with relevant consumer analytics.
- About eight years of experience in a content-publishing role, with some experience leading a creative team.
- A good knowledge of cricket.
- Language and communication skills: the ability to write clearly and engagingly.
- Creative thinking, especially the ability to come up with visually led executions.
- A graduate degree from a recognised university.
- A basic understanding of the mechanics of publishing technology across various platforms will be considered a bonus, as will some experience in business development.
