Lancashire League: Aussie Lee set for Enfield return
The Lancashire Evening Telegraph
Shane Lee could be back as professional at Enfield next summer.
The Australian all-rounder, who helped the Dill Hall Lane club finish
third in the Lancashire League in 1997, has been targeted for a
return.
And that would be a popular move among both players and supporters.
Enfield official John Hargreaves declined to comment on the situation
and would only say: "We are in negotiations with a player and hope to
have a contract back in the not too distant future when we will make
an announcement."
But it is understood that Lee, a former Lancashire Evening Telegraph
columnist, is definitely the man they want to succeed last summer's
professional Otis Gibson.
In his first season with Enfield, Lee scored more than 800 league
runs (average 44.56) and took 67 wickets (16.01).
