Jordaan in dark
LOWERHOUSE CC officials remained tight-lipped today about the
final outcome of Monday night's extraordinary general meeting to
discuss the Corrie Jordaan situation, writes BRIAN DOOGAN. The
committee met again last night to decide what offer, if any, to
make to the South African professional.
It appears they could wait until the end of the season, when
they will know if progress has been made on last season, before
reaching a conclusion on whether to offer Jordaan terms for next
year.
The EGM attracted a massive turnout of players, officials and
members and, by the end of an amicable meeting, all sides
appreciated the others' position.
It was stressed that any decision reached will be based on
benefiting Lowerhouse's future, not on personal grievances.
Today Jordaan was still in the dark about his future with the
club.
"I have not heard from anybody yet but they (the committee) say
they will talk to me probably some time today," he said.
