The Victorian stand-in captain Jon Moss will lead the side in four pre-season one-day matches against Tasmania and New South Wales at Queensland's Sunshine Coast next week.
Moss, who will guide the Pura Cup team while Cameron White is touring India with Australia, is part of a 15-man squad that will finalise its preparations for the season in a camp at Mooloolaba.
Gerard Denton, the paceman who left Tasmania in the off-season, will have his first run with the Bushrangers while the international players Ian Harvey and Matthew Elliott will return after stints with English counties Yorkshire and Glamorgan.
A Cricket Victoria spokesman said the week-long camp would give the side, the defending Pura Cup champions after beating Queensland in the 2003-04 final, an opportunity to cement its plans and structures for the season.
The team departs for Mooloolaba on Sunday after the first round of Premier cricket.
